About the SheTrades Bangladesh Hub
Creating the right conditions and capacities for women to participate in and benefit equally from trade requires all key stakeholders in the trade and business ecosystem to be activated.
This is why in 2023, SME Foundation established the SheTrades Bangladesh Hub in partnership with the International Trade Centre’s – a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization – flagship Women and Trade Programme, the SheTrades Initiative.
The SheTrades Bangladesh Hub serves as a resource centre for Bangladeshi women entrepreneurs. It adopts a three-pronged approach to ensure that the right conditions and capacities are in place for women-led businesses to thrive in international trade:
Since its inception, over 200 women-led businesses have joined our community and benefited from opportunities offered by both SME Foundation and the ITC SheTrades Initiative headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
How can you join the SheTrades Bangladesh Hub?
On top of the wide array of opportunities open to all women registered on SheTrades.com, women-led businesses of SheTrades Hubs also gain exclusive access to Hubs-only capacity building and business generation activities. These may range from support to participate in regional or international trade fairs, or opportunities to participate in on-site or virtual trainings and coaching on a multitude of themes (e.g. digitalization, crisis management and risk assessment, etc).
Joining the SheTrades Bangladesh Hub is easy. Interested women entrepreneurs may do so by completing this https://forms.office.com/e/gBiDQJjFRn.
